Russia’s war on Ukraine is not just about power. It is also about moral judgement. About right and wrong.
About good and evil.
The following is courtesy of Roman Sheremeta.
“Every time the Pope is trying to say something about the russian war against Ukraine, it turns out either as propaganda, nonsense, or moral bankruptcy.
His recent appeal to have a cease fire for two weeks during the Passover is plainly immoral. Basically, he saying to a pedophile - please, stop raping an innocent child for two weeks and then you can continue. The only message Pope should send is for the russians to stop killing civilians, stop raping women and children, and get out of Ukraine.
For me, as a Christian, the position and the statements of Pope Francis are despicable and morally bankrupt. I would recommend Pope to read the Bible once in a while, because it says: “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.” (Isaiah 5:20, NIV).
Here is the list of some of Pope’s actions and statements regarding the russian war against Ukraine:
1) Pope has asked a russian and a Ukrainian woman to carry the cross together. Sure, what’s the difference between the evil and the good?
2) Pope prayed to God: “Bring enemies to a handshake so that they can taste mutual forgiveness.” Equating the aggressor and the victim is a sign of moral bankruptcy.
3) Pope called the death of a russian propagandist Dugina on the territory of Russia an “innocent” victim of the war.
4) Pope infamously declared: “I have great respect for the Russian people, for Russian humanism.” He should visit Bucha, Irpin and other Ukrainian cities to see russian humanism.
5) According to Pope: "The third world war is going on in Ukraine, in which several empires are fighting." He clarified that: “there are imperial interests, not only of the Russian Empire but also of other empires.”
Go ahead, zoom in. Take a closer look. It is the town of Marinka in Donetsk Oblast after Russian shelling. The ruins are homes and shops, not military.
The Russian army doesn’t belong there in the first place. And, when it is there, it kills and destroys everything in its path.
Russia is not there to save anyone. It is there for conquest and genocide.
